The winter school is registered as an advanced course at the University of Oslo under the acronym IN-MOD-BER (Modeller og beregninger) and as a "Nasjonalt forskerkurs i realfag". For those interested, there will be an exam in the form of a written essay on topics to be specified later. The length of the essay must be at least 8 A4-pages and no more than 10 A4-pages (with 12 point font).

The assignment was made available Friday April 2 and the deadline is May 14.

To register for the exam, please contact (+47 22 85 29 56) at Department of Informatics, University of Oslo. Students registered at the University of Oslo need only provide name and social number. Deadline for registration is Friday March 26 2004.

If you are not a student at the University of Oslo and wish to transfer credits for the exam to your own university, you must provide information that certifies that you are a (doctoral) student at another university. The following rules applies:
