CEMCAP

SP4 will develop and test three fundamentally different post combustion capture technologies for cement plants: the chilled ammonia process (CAP), membrane-assisted CO₂ liquefaction and calcium looping (CaL). The iterative SP4 approach between capture process analysis and experimental work will provide substantial insight into post combustion capture performance, cost and retrofit to cement plants. Comparison will be made against a reference case using CO₂ capture with MEA, and as far as possible against the results obtained from the Norcem CCS project.

The sub-project contains the four work packages
