XInTheLoop - Library Release

How to combine model and hardware components in the same simulation? Check out the newly developed Open-Source Cyber-Physical library in the VirtualFCS GitHub repository.

The VirtualFCS library has now released an X-in-the-Loop library for the cyber-physical integration of fuel cell-battery hybrid power systems. The XInTheLoop Modelica library is a tool which can enable the exchange of time-varying values between a model and an external system, where a software component is required to interface with the hardware system.
For example, the library includes a premade use case designed to use a UDP protocol to communicate with a fuel cell-battery lab control software such as LabVIEW. It is also possible to implement a similar functionality against other systems.
Stay tuned for upcoming updates. We will release a real-time Energy Management Controller in this library, which functions as a supervisory control for the power flow from different energy sources at the hardware level.
