Practical information for SINTEF Shale School & SINTEF Petroleum Conference

The venue for the School and Conference is Radisson Blu Royal Garden Hotel.

Transport
Bus from airport to Trondheim and return
There is a shuttle bus leaving from the airport after every flight arrival. There are different companies running those busses. Flybussen is the best option when going to Trondheim Centre (Hotels). The bus stop at Royal Garden Hotel, but also at other places/hotels so please ask the bus driver or at the hotel. The price is 130-150 NOK (both cash and cards accepted). Ask your hotel for bus time schedule back to the airport.

Taxi from the airport to the conference venue/city centre
The trip between the airport and the city centre costs from NOK 500 and takes about 30 min.

February 3
Bus/taxi to the Lab tours to Lerkendal and Gløshaugen will leave at 16:30 outside the main entrance of Royal Garden for those who have preregistered. For those who are not preregistered for Lerkendal or Gløshaugen Lab tours, this may be complemented at Conference desk before 12:00.

February 4
Bus/taxi to the Lab tour to Tiller will leave at 13:30 outside the main entrance of Royal Garden. Transport from Tiller. For those who are not pre-registered for Tiller Lab tour or the transport from Tiller to the airport, this may be complemented at Conference desk before 10:00.

Lunch and Conference dinner
Lunch will be served in the hotel restaurant. Participants who have informed us of special dietary needs in the registration should identify themselves at lunch and dinner. Special dietary meals have been pre-ordered. Coffee and other refreshments will be served outside Auditorium.

The Conference dinner requires pre-registration. For those who are not pre-registered for dinner, this may be complemented at the Conference desk before 12:00 on February 3.

Registration/Conference desk
The conference secretariat desk will be located outside the auditorium.

Internet access
The hotel has a free wireless network for those of you bringing laptops with WLAN functionality.

Coat/luggage room
There will be a coat and luggage room available on both days of the conference.

Bank facilities
Banks are located downtown. Banking hours are usually 9:00 - 15:00, Monday-Friday.

No smoking policy
Smoking is not permitted in any indoor public areas at the hotel. There is no smoking in bars and restaurants in Norway or on any means of public transport.

Liability
The organizers are not liable for any losses, accidents or damage to persons or objects, regardless of the cause. Participants attend the conference and all related events at their own risk and responsibility. Do not leave any computers or other valuable items in the Auditoriums during lunch breaks or other breaks.
