Water treatment processes

Water treatment can include potable (drinking) water treatment, waste water treatment (such as industrial effluents, agricultural effluents,) and other applications.

Various processes are running and are also at improvement/development stages. The processes can be divided into physical/chemical processes such as coagulation, adsorption, filtration, membrane filtration,  centrifugation, oxidation, ion-exchange, electro-dialysis, etc. and bio-chemical processes such as activated sludge.

Combined processes and Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) may realize more efficient and cost effective processes. This project targets a simultaneous application of different methods to treat dilute but having toxic potential organics in water.
