Activities

There are six main activities in the project, excluding project management.

1. Design basis

The activity consists of describing functional requirements for the INSTALLER concept, investigating rules and regulations, a market assessment and defining concept selection criteria.

Responsible partner for the activity is NOV.

 

2. Installation concept

The activity consists of developing the INSTALLER concept's crane design, mobile jacking system and blade installation tool.

Responsible partner for the activity is NOV.

 

3. Vessel design

The activity consists of conducting a concept design feasibility study and propose recommendations for vessel design. This includes proposals for new vessel design concepts and retro-fit possibilities.

4. Logistics system

The activity consists of developing and applying an analytical logistical cost model for value chain and cost-benefit analysis of the INSTALLER concept.

5. Concept validation and demonstrator

The activity consists of developing and applying a simulation model for marine operations for validation and visualisation of the INSTALLER concept.

6. Dissemination and knowledge management

This activity includes presentations of results from the INSTALLER project, assignment of master students to work on the topic, any project publications and the upkeep of this webpage.
