Education

In close co-operation with NTNU, education is an important part of FFF's activities. Several professors and students take part in the projects, for MSc-theses and particularly for PhD-theses that accounts for about half of FFFs research activity.

In the period from 1994 until today, 53 PhD candidates have been supported by FFF of which 44 PhD students have completed their PhD-theses while the rest are still PhD students.

Projects

The research activities are aimed at supporting the education of PhD-students within ferroalloy processes, products and environment as well as general research of interest to all the Norwegian ferroalloys producers. Most of the projects have been carried out by SINTEF Industry, in co-operation with NTNU, Department of Materials Science and Engineering.
