CINELDI-NORCICS workshop on cyber security in cyber-physical electricity grids

In this joint workshop we want to present activities and results from research in CINELDI on cyber security in cyber-physical electricity grids (Smart Grid), and the demonstrators planned to start or started in NORCICS related to the electricity grid, and related activities.  We want to create a space for mutual learning and exchange of experiences, and to facilitate for discussions on possibilities for cooperation.

FME CINELDI develops the electricity grid of the future and works towards digitalising and modernising the electricity distribution grid for higher efficiency, flexibility and resilience. The centre acts as a national hub for long-term research and innovation within the field of intelligent electricity distribution, bringing together innovative stakeholders with the common task of developing and implementing new technologies, work processes and solutions.

SFI NORCICS vision is to contribute to making Norway the most securely digitalized country in the world by improving the cybersecurity and resilience of her Critical Sectors, through research-based innovation.

FME CINELDI 

The research centre CINELDI is a Centre for Environment-friendly Energy Research (FME) in Norway. CINELDI acts as a national hub for long-term research and innovation within the field of intelligent electricity distribution, bringing together innovative stakeholders with the common task of developing and implementing new technologies, work processes and solutions in the grid companies. The objective is to tailor the grid for use by smart grid customers, electric vehicles, solar power facilities and other renewable electric power in a cost-efficient way. Host for CINELDI is SINTEF Energy research, with research partners Norwegian University of Science and Technology and SINTEF Digital, 

8 years, 369 MNOK, 30 partners. Period: 2016-2024. 

SFI NORCICS 

Norway is among the most digitalized countries in the world. Our vision is to contribute to making Norway the most securely digitalized country in the world by improving the cybersecurity and resilience of her Critical Sectors, through research-based innovation. 

Our primary objective is to enhance the capability of private and public sector stakeholders to respond to the current and future cybersecurity risks by developing, validating, and operationalizing innovative socio-technical solutions. Host for NORCICS is NTNU, with research partners SINTEF and SINTEF Digital, Norsk Regnesentral, UiA.

8 years 215 MNOK, about 20 partners. Period: 2020-2028.
