The Eyde Cluster is the Norwegian Centre of Expertise (NCE) for Sustainable Process Industry, working for the transition towards a sustainable future.
The Eyde Cluster is the Norwegian Centre of Expertise (NCE) for Sustainable Process Industry, working for the transition towards a sustainable future. The cluster is owned by industries producing metals, ceramics, chemicals and by recycling businesses. Total 60 company members that drive cooperation projects related to competence and innovation. Expected future innovations – supported by SFI-IB: The strategic vision of the process industry (Process industry roadmap and Process21) is to be carbon neutral by 2045 combined with increased value creation. In order to fulfil this vision, emphasis must be put broadly on solutions that can lead to reduced emissions. Technologies that focus on both growth and reduced emissions are CCU technologies. Use of off-gases and excess heat energy enables the use of industrial biotechnology as a solution to treat off-gases. Scientific emphasis must be put in such solutions in order to mature them for industrial innovation. Eyde Cluster will represent its members and will contribute to disseminate solutions for the industry. Synergies with other companies in the consortium are expected to be highly valuable for Eyde Cluster and its members
