Brit Lisa Skjelkvåle
Brit Lisa is Head of the Department of Geosciences at the University of Oslo since 2013.
Her main research interest has been the chemical effect of long-range transported air pollution on lakes and rivers.
She was responsible for the national program on monitoring the effects of long-range transported air pollutants in Norway, including several large synoptic lake surveys.
She coordinated the international ICP Waters program under the UNECE Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution.
Brit Lisa was Director of Research at the Centre for Inland Waters, Norwegian Institute for Water Research, NIVA (2011-2013), and she holds a Ph.D. in geology from University of Oslo (1993).
