Call for abstracts

We are excited to invite you to submit your abstract for the 2024 edition of the EERA DeepWind Offshore Wind Research and Innovation Conference, that will be held in Trondheim 17-19 January 2024. Emphasis in the programme is on sustainable wind development, digital twin technology, floating wind and large scale integration.

Boost your professional profile and recognition by submitting a paper abstract addressing any of the topics in the programme. First authors of abstracts selected for presentation (oral or poster) are granted reduced fee for participation.

The abstract should not exceed 500 words. The topic shall linked to one of the following:

  • New turbine and generator technology
  • Grid connection and power system integration
  • Met-ocean conditions
  • Operation and maintenance
  • Substructures and mooring
  • Marine operations and logistics
  • Wind farm optimisation
  • Experimental testing and validation
  • Wind farm control systems
  • Societal impact and controversies
  • Environmental impact
  • Legal and regulatory framework


All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The selection criteria are relevance, quality and originality. Authors of accepted abstracts will be asked to give either an oral or poster presentation. Please state your preference.

Authors of accepted abstracts are invited to submit full papers. Preparation of full papers is optional (see Author instructions). These will go through a peer-review and successful submissions will be published in a special issue of the IOP The Journal of Physics.
