A prerequisite for a new and more environmentally friendly energy system in the world is that new technologies and new energy are accepted by end users, industry and government.This requires the integrated knowledge of energy economics, energy analysis, political science, innovation studies and technology studies . SINTEF collaborates with several national players in this area through FME CenSES.
There are significant resources of wind power in areas where few people live, and which cannot be exploited due to a weak grid. A solution is to produce hydrogen and export it.

HINDCON is an EU-funded project, studying 3D-printing of concrete in the construction sector.
