For decades, robots have offered industries high-speed and high-precision task-solving capabilities. Today, they are deployed in new areas such as the petroleum industry, and in the domestic and healthcare sectors.
The main goal of KOPROD is to demonstrate methods and technology solutions for future competitive production of complex, small and medium volume products for cost-sensitive markets. The project is financed by the Norwegian Research Council's BIA-program.

SFI Manufacturing's vision is to show that sustainable manufacturing in a high-cost country like Norway is possible, given the right products, technologies and people. Cross-disciplinary research will provide a knowledge based toolbox for future industrial innovations.

SFI Manufacturing's Annual Report 2016
