The HCI group is multidisciplinary, spanning informatics, media science, psychology, and the natural sciences. We are nine researchers, and we supervise master- and PhD students.

Our research is always in the close vicinity of the end users. We do applied research in close collaboration with industrial partners. We develop methods, frameworks, tools and theory.

Key research areas:

  • User needs, user experience, usability, patterns of use
  • Decision support systems for critical environments
  • Chatbots and design for AI applications
  • Service research and customer journey modelling
  • Social media and trust
