Carlo is senior scientist at SINTEF Digital, in the group "optimization". Until 2015 he has been associated professor of operations research at Sapienza, University of Rome, and until 2023 Professor II in mathematical optimization at University of Oslo. He published more than 70 papers and received a few international awards for his work in applied optimization. He has been invited to hold several plenary talks and he is member of international committees.
