Field studies carried out at aquaculture facilities make an important contribution to the development of new solutions. The SeaLab e-Infrastructure facilitates the efficient planning and implementation of field experiments. A flexible instrument housing mounted on the rim of a net pen enables the simple connection of various types of equipment, and the data recorded are transferred automatically to database servers at SeaLab. High-speed communication channels ensure that external partners can obtain access, both for equipment configuration and the downloading of recorded data. Redundancy in power supply lines and communication channels ensure excellent uptime.
An adaptable e-infrastructure for field studies in the aquaculture industry.
