The TIMe Electronic Textbook exists in two variants in three formats; TIMe ELB, TIMe HTML and TIMe PDF.
This is the full version in FrameMaker format. TIMe ELB is written in FrameMaker 5.5, and will work on all platforms where FrameMaker or FrameViewer run, using version 5.5 or later. This version has interactive links between text, figures and definitions. The HTML and PDF versions do not support these features, so we recommend the FrameMaker version for serious reading.
Full functionality of the TIMe textbook
requires an installed version of the inexpensive FrameViewer
or the complete FrameMaker on your system. The FrameMaker files are compressed into a single ZIP file, which must be extracted after download.

This is the reduced online variant in HTML format. TIMe HTML is a conversion from FrameMaker to HTML for selected parts of the book, and can be run on any web browser that supports "frames", e.g. Netscape version 3 or later, or Explorer version 4 or later.

This is the full version converted to PDF format. Each file contains one chapter, which is convenient for printing. The PDF files require that the free-of-cost Acrobate Reader is installed on your system.
You may also download an image of the entire TIMe CD-ROM. The image is in ISO format, and you can burn it using software such as Easy CD Creator or Nero Burning ROM. Read the "README.TXT" file on the CD for installation instructions.
