Basic data structures in Siscat are described such as generic interfaces to scattered data, lists, spatial query structures and domains for scattered data as subsets of the xy-plane. Tools for efficient memory handling when dealing with scattered data are also described. The actual implementations are done in an object oriented framework in the C++ programming language.
