Project proposal ranked as number one among over 400!

SINTEF and Ceetron AS in Trondheim have collaborated with partners in Netherlands and Ireland on a project proposal for the Eurostars call in the Eureka program of EU, in the spring of 2017. This summer the evaluation concluded that our proposal was the best one out of more than 400 proposals submitted.

The project, named Mariana, is focused on developing better tools, both hardware and software, for improved diagnostics in lung medicine (bronchoscopy). The research team at SINTEF have collaborated closely with St. Olavs hospital in the field of bronchoscopy for many years. St. Olavs hospital is also a partner of SINTEF in this Eurostars project. They will be the first clinic to test the new solutions from the Mariana project. The team at SINTEF and St. Olavs hospital has performed a number of regional and national projects, and also finished an EEA grant project in the spring of 2017.
