Plugging materials

Plug and abandonment (P&A) is the final stage of a well's lifetime, and the objective of P&A operations is to seal the well for eternity. Long-term integrity of plugging materials is a central topic.

P&A is an important focus area for SINTEF, with a special emphasis on long-term integrity of well barrier materials. Important areas are:
