In a modern society transport of people and goods is a premise and consequence of our mode of living. Our research has a technological approach where the main objective is that all transport should be carried out on a safe, efficient and environmental friendly way.
We have a well established and well equipped laboratory, where we can perform studies in both real traffic and in simulated environments

In addition to our own activity, we also cooperate very close with the research group of Roads and Transport at NTNU Department of Civil and Transport Engineering. This cooperation includes scientific work as well as resources and premises. Our cooperation is formalised through a common centre named”the Geminisenter” for Roads and Transport.
