SHE&Q Culture
The objective is to contribute to decision making for private and public organisations in their efforts to create value and reduce losses. We contribute through knowledge support and method development for better handling of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Quality.

The main focus of the network is safety and quality. These issues are handled on an organizational level. There is an increasing awareness that organizational culture, human interaction and relations the organizations are critical for the effectiveness of management systems for safety and quality.

Modern organisations are characterised by complex operations, minimal buffers, openness to the environment, and a rapid pace of change. This calls for a new way of thinking due to HSE challenges that must be handled. In this network the quality work has a focus on process quality rather than product quality, since products to a larger extend is a result of processes.

We believe that the following aspects are important:

  • Focus on long term objectives
  • Continuous improvement and renewal of work processes
  • Participation and co-operation from everyone
  • Continuously learning in a creative environment
