Workshop facilitation
Our workshops set out to accelerate idea work and learning on specific challenges, while also fostering increased reflexivity on working methods.
Idea Work Shop typically involves pitching hot ideas and parallel prototyping of solutions to concrete problems in heterogeneous groups. It may include participation from clients or other collaborating organizations.
Idea Work Shop combines a range of methods - like Idea Work Drivers, Idea It!, Ghost Buster, Future Perfect or Unplugged - and vary in length from 2-hour sessions to 2-day bouts.
Low-tech “unplugged” presentation and pitching of ideas in plenary sessions are utilized to maximize imagination of what can be possible. The method emphasizes surprise, breaches from normality and unanswered questions to invoke curiosity and enlist your audience in interpretation. It also shows primary data directly underpinning your interpretation and/or presenting areas of ambiguity and unanswered questions.
The method have been used in Statoil to engage the practitioners in telling a story of an interpretation or idea through three levels of expanding detail, with each level being conclusive: Verbal, visual sketching and by the use of electronic devices.
