Bjørn Emil Madsen  -  Research Manager

Bjørn-Emil has a major in psychology from the University of Trondheim. He has been working with different varieties of the subject "adults and teaching" for his whole career, and has also lectured at NTNU. For the last six years he has been working with research-, development- and improvement projects within the Norwegian oil industry. This work has first of all been based on the teaching- and knowledge management perspective.

He is currently mostly working with subjects linked to the insertion of Integrated Operations (IO) in the oil industry, including trading, communication and teaching abeam old professional-, organizational- and geographical divisions.

Oddlyn Siem  -  Senior Secretary

Oddlyn has a three-year college degree (language) and also a one-year secretary education. She has long experience as a secretary within the maritime- and offshore industry, as well as some experience as legal secretary. Earlier she has worked at IKU (now SINTEF Petroleum Research) and ResLab, Reservoir Laboratories AS. She returned to SINTEF and started working in Smarter Together in August 2005.

Lisbeth Hansson  -  Senior Scientist

Lisbeth is a graduate engineer in chemistry from NTNU and has a doctorate within marine safety; "Safety Management for prevention of occupational accidents". Lisbeth has worked within offshore- and maritime activities for approximately 20 years, mainly within research, but also as a consultant and in engineering companies. Her disciplines are safety, maintenance and organizational development.

Jostein Sveen  -  Senior Scientist

Jostein is a graduate engineer in petroleum technology and applied geophysics from NTNU (1979) and has a doctorate within drilling on downhole instrumentation and monitoring of wells. He has worked as an assistent professor at the Institute of petroleum technology and applied geophysics, NTNU within the discipline drilling and production, as well as being in charge of a number of EEU-courses regarding development of personnel to the oil industry. As a research co-ordinator he has also, on behalf of SINTEF, been responsible for initiating and developing the co-operation with the oil industry, as well as establishing EEU-industry research projects together with the oil industry.

Geir Guttormsen  -  Research Scientist

Geir’s professional background is within working- and organizational psychology from Institute of Psychology at NTNU in Trondheim. His technical specializing and interest is organizational development (OD). Geir has particularly worked with practical problem-solving in Norwegian and international offshore companies where the problems are linked to development-processes as well as health, safety and environment (HSE). He has worked in SINTEF for 6 years.

Torbjørn Korsvold  -  Research Scientist

Torbjørn is Doctor of Engineering within organization and management from the Institute of Industrial Economics at NTNU, and delivered his doctoral thesis «Creating organizational change and innovation in the Norwegian building and construction industry» (2002) based on methods within action research. Torbjørn has, among other factors, research practice from Stanford University and three years’ experience as Head of Research within business- and regional development at Østfoldforskning. In his research, he has especially worked with operative and involvement based development processes focusing mainly on integrated organizational- and technology development within construction-, process- and offshore related industry. Torbjørn’s special field of interest is organizational development (OD) emphasizing knowledge management and organizational theory.

Margit Hermundsgård  -  Research Scientist

Margit has a Cand. Philol. Degree in linguistic communication/ applied linguistics from NTNU. Currently, she is in the completion phase of her doctor’s degree (dr.art.). Earlier she has been working as a research scientist, textbook-editor, university teacher and career guide.

Trine Marie Stene -  Senior Scientist

Trine has a major in psychology from the University of Trondheim, as well as a doctorate in pedagogics within safety and prevention; "Is training a sufficient safety measure?" Her work has been connected to traffic and working life, primarily as a Research Scientist for more than 20 years, but also in connection with registration of accidents at hospitals and education.

Her special field of interest is training and education emphasizing motivation, managing, self-perception and attitudes.
