AluSheet:
In collaboration with Hydro Aluminium, SINTEF has developed the computer program AluSheet for the prediction of tensile properties in sheet materials. AluSheet is implemented in two of Hydro’s plants, and is being used in daily alloy/process optimisation as well as in research and development.

HydSim:
SINTEF has developed the model HydSim for prediction of hydrogen in aluminium melts. The model has been implemented in a large Norwegian foundry through the process logging and control system developed by www.prediktor.no.

TearSim:
Together with www.ife.no and as part of the EU-project VIRCAST, SINTEF has developed the computer model TearSim for prediction of hot tearing in aluminium DC casting.
