ATHENA
Advanced Technology, Interoperability, Heterogenous Enterprises

ATHENA is an Integrated Project partially funded by EU. The objective is to develop solutions to overcome todays interoperability problems. More specifically the aim is to:

  • Define a reference model for interoperability
  • Define interoperability requirements and solutions for applications, data and communications
  • Develop methods that allow enterprises to address interoperability
  • Develop semantic tools to support interoperability

AHTENA is a three year project which started in February 2004. It has 19 partners from academia, research and industry. SINTEF's contributions are within the following thematic areas:

  • Enterprise modelling
  • Process modelling
  • Ontology and semantics
  • Service Oriented Architecture
  • Model-Driven Architecture
