Background
Jens Olav Nygaard is working as a research scientist in the HetComp group of SINTEF Applied Mathematics, and has been with SINTEF since 1998, after finishing studies at NTH (now NTNU) in Trondheim and the University of Oslo, and serving in the Norwegian armed forces.
Research Interests
Research interests are currently focused on visualization of large 3D datasets using modern commodity programmable graphics hardware. Other areas of research interest include digital image processing (non-linear registration,) computer vision (3D imaging and product inspection, SLAM, 3D model building,) ultrasound imaging, and spline methods. Current work
Currently, Jens Olav is working as project leader of the projects Parallel3D and TecWel2 at SINTEF Applied Mathematics.
