Background

Atle Riise is currently a senior researcher at SINTEF ICT, Department of Applied Mathematics. He has extensive experience in development of algorithms and software for meta-heuristic search for real world optimisation applications, mainly within the domains of transportation and health care. Furthermore, he has a broad experience in project acquisition and project management, as well as a background as the research manager of the Optimisation Group at SINTEF ICT.

Research Interests

Atle Riise is currently working on his PhD thesis. His current research area is sequential and parallel search methods for complex, real world problems, with a focus on health care planning applications.
