SINTEF NBL was invited to participate in an Expertise forum dealing with Safety in road traffic. Both Switzerland and Norway are interested in co-operation and skills upgrading within Safety in road traffic. Road transport , particularly traffic safety, tunnel safety and prevention of snow and earth slides, were at the head of the agenda.
The next day an inspection of the St. Gotthard Tunnel was planned.

Kristen Opstad, one of the leading researcher on Tunnel Safety and Fire in Europe, participated from SINTEF NBL.
