American delegation visited SINTEF
A large delegation from the American organization Underground Highway Systems just visited SINTEF. The group consisted of 11 members from American transport authorities.
The delegation came to Europe to study transport safety in tunnels and underground structures.
In Norway the group visited SINTEF (SINTEF and SINTEF NBL) for two days. The first day the group met with representatives from Technology and Society, and the next day they visited SINTEF NBL.
The group had a guided tour in the laboratories prior to the talk by Kristen Opstad about fire suppression in tunnels and underground structures.

In the afternoon the group visited the new main road west of Trondheim having 7 tunnels composing the latest Norwegian design of trafic and fire safety.
