  • Test hall for large and full scale experiments. The test hall is designed for all types of full scale and large scale fire tests.
  • Test hall for testing fire resistance of construction elements, structures and components.
  • Laboratories for testing materials' reaction to fire.
  • Test hall for testing chimneys and heating appliances (safety tests and environmental tests).
  • An outdoor test facility allows full-scale fire exposure to pressurised vessels and process equipment until rupture.
  • A test rig which represents a typical platform module was constructed at our outdoor test site in 2009. The test rig is a part of a project that Statoil and ConocoPhilips initiated. The objective is to study the effect of of monitors (water sprayers) attacking oil- and gas fires, as well as the effect of deluge systems in process areas.

Fire in tunnels are tested in the Runehamar tunnel.  In this tunnel one can test fires up to 200 MW or pool fires, for instance 100 m² large.
