Testing and Verification
The requirement for improved quality and stronger competition has increased the need for testing and verification. Our service is the development of qualified measures based on test procedures and quantitative evaluations with a reference to established specifications.
The main goal of KOPROD is to demonstrate methods and technology solutions for future competitive production of complex, small and medium volume products for cost-sensitive markets. The project is financed by the Norwegian Research Council's BIA-program.
The research project CPS Plant will develop a framework for the Norwegian approach for the digital manufacturing industry. The consortium consists of 3 Norwegian industry partners, Norsk Hydro, Benteler Automotive and Hycast, and SINTEF Digital and NTNU (Trondheim and Gjovik) are the academic partners. SINTEF Raufoss Manufacturing is the project leader.
SFI Manufacturing's vision is to show that sustainable manufacturing in a high-cost country like Norway is possible, given the right products, technologies and people. Cross-disciplinary research will provide a knowledge based toolbox for future industrial innovations.
