All our advisers within Lean have extensive practical experience in line management and management of Lean processes wihin various Norwegian and international organisations. In addition, we have a number of researchers who are specialised in Lean. This enables us to offer a unique expertise that combines the extensive experience of our advisors with research. This combination ensures our customers updated and leading knowledge in the field.
The main goal of KOPROD is to demonstrate methods and technology solutions for future competitive production of complex, small and medium volume products for cost-sensitive markets. The project is financed by the Norwegian Research Council's BIA-program.
The research project CPS Plant will develop a framework for the Norwegian approach for the digital manufacturing industry. The consortium consists of 3 Norwegian industry partners, Norsk Hydro, Benteler Automotive and Hycast, and SINTEF Digital and NTNU (Trondheim and Gjovik) are the academic partners. SINTEF Raufoss Manufacturing is the project leader.
We are leader of NCE Raufoss, the national competence centre for lightweight materials and automated production in Norway. The ambition is to be Norway's center for all manufacturing industry. NCE stands for Norwegian Centre of Expertise and is a national initiative to develop the most expansive and internationally oriented industrial clusters in Norway.

6th Conference on Learning Factories
Welcome to the 6th Conference on Learning Factories, arranged by NTNU Gjøvik and SINTEF Raufoss Manufacturing, the 29th and 30th of June at Gjøvik. The conference is sponsored by CIRP and SFI Manufacturing, Norways cross-disciplinary research centre for competitive high value manufacturing.
First annual report SFI Manufacturing
The vision of SFI Manufacturing is to show how sustainable manufacturing in a high-cost country like Norway is possible, and what it takes to improve global competitiveness. The research centre has had a good start-up period. – I am very pleased to see how our strong consortium of industrial- and academic partners is developing SFI Manufacturing into a vital research centre, says centre manager Sverre Gulbrandsen-Dahl.
