Open Innovation has been a vital ingredient for the highly innovative Norwegian oil and gas sector, and a main task for SINTEF is to contribute to a continued success story in this respect.
High Throughput laboratory - Oslo
The High Throughput laboratory can be divided in three main activates: 1) design and construction of high-throughput equipment, 2) parallel synthesis of materials, and 3) parallel screening of materials properties. We provide automated custom made high precisions equipment for a wide range of applications. Development and application of combinatorial and parallel approaches are used to accelerate the research and development of a large number of industrially relevant processes.
Laboratory for screening of catalysts and adsorbents
SINTEF has a large number of various reactors for screening of catalysts and adsorbents. SINTEF has knowledge and experience in designing and building laboratory reactors for a range of industrial processes.
4REFINERY - Scenarios for integration of bio-liquids in existing REFINERY processes
4REFINERY will develop and demonstrate the production of next generation biofuels from more efficient primary liquefaction routes integrated with upgraded downstream (hydro)refining processes to achieve overall carbon yields of >45%. The consortium will aim for successful deployment into existing refineries, including delivering a comprehensive toolbox for interfacing with existing refinery models.
POLYMEM - New polymeric membranes for CO2 capture
The primary objective of the POLYMEM project is to reduce the costs, energy and environmental impact of CO2 capture compared with existing technologies by developing and implementing the "next generation" polymeric membranes.
INNO-Drill – Technology platform for research-based innovations in deep geothermal drilling
The main goal of INNO-Drill project is to extend, demonstrate, and make available a research-based technology platform to enable new and significantly more cost effective drilling tools and systems for deep geothermal wells in hard rock formations.
