We investigate how surgeons can practice outside the operating room by using the available simulators, as well as developing its own. The training lab of the National Center for Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery is an important infrastructure. We have also, together with Laerdal, helped to develop a training doll that can simulate ultrasound in the abdominal region. The doll can be used to teach paramedics how to detect bleeding in the stomach. In this way, trauma patients receive proper treatment earlier - www.nsalk.org.
