Campus alive. Transformation and integration of university work and campus space.

Abstract

This paper reports from an ongoing campus development project, 'Vision 2060', at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). We have investigated important perspectives and relations for a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges related to campus development. We suggest that successfully meeting such challenges involves the need to understand the distinguishing characteristics and qualities of the university, and the premises these qualities establish for sustainable campus development.
