The main challenge for the decision maker is, based on an overall assessment, to prioritize and select the right projects at the right time. Achieving the potential benefit of a more efficient maintenance may require the use of modern technology and methods, highly educated staff, and organizational changes.

The objective was to give a contribution to the maintenance function of the power companies in order for them to operate more systematically and efficiently.
