Advanced materials characterisation - Laboratory
The advanced materials characterization laboratory in Oslo develops techniques and makes use of advanced experimental facilities within the national infrastructure centers NORTEM, NICE, and NORFAB. It also employs modeling frameworks utilizing the supercomputer infrastructure in SIGMA2, as well as fundamental materials competence. This combined approach allows for determination of structure, chemistry and materials response from the atomic to millimeter scale.
High throughput screening facility, Trondheim
The robotic screening facility at SINTEF are optimized for high throughput analytical and cultivation work and enables us to process of thousands of samples or cultures per day.
ERIFORE - Research Infrastructure for Circular Forest Bioeconomy
The ERIFORE will realize the European potential to consolidate its place as a world leader in biomass based research and innovations. ERIFORE builds on a new firm alliance aiming to establish open access distributed forest bioeconomy research infrastructure across Europe enabling scientific discoveries to be transferred to new business models, novel products and services enabling sustainable growth. The research infrastructure will focus on topics supporting Circular Forest Bioeconomy concepts starting from fundamental teaching and knowledge sharing to high level research laboratories and large scale piloting facilities.

UOP and SINTEF cooperate on synchrotron catalyst studies
Recently SINTEF and UOP, a leading international supplier of catalysts, installed a test system for controlling the gas and liquid feed for in situ catalyst studies using high-energy synchrotron X-rays at the Advanced Photon Source (APS) at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL).
