Webinar: The role of thermal energy storage in the decarbonization of process industry

Two thirds of industrial energy use is in the form of thermal energy, and most of this energy demand is still covered with fossil fuels. In order to mitigate the climate change, rapid decarbonization of industrial process heat production is required – and the fastest way for decarbonization is through electrification using high-temperature heat pumps or electric boilers. This presentation will explain the role of thermal energy storage in as a key enabler for decarbonization of process industry, and present relevant case studies and results from FME HighEFF.
