This department consists of two technical groups. The main activities of the Reservoir Technology group are experimental and numerical modelling of reservoir processes with emphasis on methods for improved oil recovery and aquifer deposition of CO2. The Geophysics group focusses on development of new methods for processing seismic data, based on the theory of wave propagation in acoustic and elastic media.
