PhD Education

A doctoral fellowship (for PhD student Ivonne Herrera) if funded by TrygVesta. NTNU will supervise the doctoral fellowship.

The main objective of the PhD work is to establish a risk informed approach for maintenance execution to be applied in both safety management and maintenance management.

The PhD work is linked to the overall project in several ways, but focuses in particular on maintenance aspects. Some of the issues covered by the PhD work with foreseen links to the overall project are:

• Resilience in maintenance organisations (linked to WP 1)
• Drifting out of the safety space in maintenance (linked to WP 2)
• Subcontracting of maintenance activities (linked to WP 3)
• Safety modelling including safety risk indicators (linked to WP 4)
