The services offered by the department of Microsystems and Nanotechnology include feasibility studies, device design, prototyping, process development, and small and medium scale production in the MiNaLab cleanroom laboratory. MiNaLab is the only independent complete silicon processing line in Norway.
The activity in the department is focused both on key application areas and on specific competence and services. The focus competence and services can be divided into three main fields, which again can be divided into several sub-fields.
SINTEF Microsystems and Nanotechnology holds the following certificates:
• ISO 9001: 2008
• ISO 14001: 2004
The ISO 9001 certificate proves an appropriate and effective Quality Management System. The ISO 14001 certificate verifies an Environmental Management System enabling identification and control of the environmental impact of operational procedures, the offered service, and products. The certificates also confirm continually improvements with respect to quality and environmental issues.
