Social media are increasingly important in our society, and are getting functions extending the private and personal sphere.  We foresee a development where social media will contribute to democratize society, as well as to innovation in government and private organizations. This will change the patterns of our social behaviour, and will also pose challenges to the individual - for example with respect to privacy.

The HCI group is one of the leading research groups on social media. We are leading in user-centred design, and have broad experience in evaluation of social network solutions.
